Nuformat Managed Firewall Services
Managed firewall services from Nuformat: we run the appliance so you do not have to. Configuration, policy changes, firmware, subscription renewals and monitoring, on Sophos XGS or Fortinet FortiGate.
This is a Nuformat service, not a vendor product. Sophos and Fortinet sell the appliances and the subscriptions. Managing them day to day, deciding what a rule change breaks, and noticing when a license is about to lapse, is what we do on top.

- Firmware and patching on a schedule rather than when something breaks.
- Subscription tracking, so a renewal does not lapse and quietly stop your threat intelligence updating.
- Monitoring and reporting on what the firewall is actually blocking.
Why it exists
A firewall is not a finished job on the day it is installed. The common failure is not a missing feature, it is a rule added in a hurry two years ago that nobody has reviewed, or a subscription that expired without anyone noticing. Both are cheap to prevent and expensive to discover.
What it works with
Sophos XGS and Fortinet FortiGate. If you bought the appliance elsewhere we can still manage it, and we will tell you plainly if the model you have is end of life before quoting.

Do I have to buy the firewall from Nuformat?
No. We can manage an appliance you already own, including one bought elsewhere.
What happens if my subscription lapses?
The firewall keeps passing traffic, but threat intelligence, IPS signatures and sandboxing stop updating. Tracking renewals is part of the service so that does not happen quietly.
Is this the same as MDR?
No. MDR watches your whole estate for threats. Managed firewall services keep the firewall itself correctly configured, current and licensed.
