Does Sophos Email replace Microsoft 365 security?+
No, it adds a layer on top. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace provide baseline protection; Sophos Email integrates by API to catch advanced phishing, BEC, and impersonation that native controls miss, and adds DLP, encryption, and training.
How does it catch business email compromise?+
It uses natural language processing trained on billions of inputs to analyse the tone and language of a message. That lets it detect hand-crafted BEC and spear-phishing that have no malicious link to flag, with high accuracy and very few false positives.
Is phishing training included?+
Yes. Sophos Phish Threat, which delivers phishing simulations and awareness training, is now included with Sophos Email rather than sold as a separate add-on.
What is the difference between Sophos Email and Sophos Email Plus?+
Both include the full threat protection, URL protection, and Phish Threat training. Sophos Email Plus adds enhanced message handling and a bundled DMARC Manager, which helps meet the DMARC requirements Google and Yahoo now expect from bulk senders.
