Do I need a FortiGate to use it?
No. Fortinet lists three ways to manage it: FortiLink from a FortiGate, FortiEdge Cloud, or standalone. FortiLink is the usual choice when you already run a FortiGate.
Is FortiCare included?
No. This is the hardware only. FortiCare Premium adds 24x7 support, firmware updates and advance hardware replacement.
How much PoE does it supply?
185W in total across 12 PoE ports, per the Fortinet data sheet. Add up your devices and we will check it fits.
Are SFP transceivers included?
Plan them separately for the uplink ports you use. Tell us the cable run and we will quote the right optic.
