If you originally purchased an XGS appliance with Xstream Protection, you must renew with Xstream Protection. Choosing Standard Protection at renewal means permanently losing the features in the right column above — several of which cannot be added back as standalone purchases.

Do I need my serial number to renew? Yes — your XGS appliance serial number is required at checkout to bind the renewal to the correct device. Have it ready before you order.

What happens if my license already expired? You can still renew. Contact your Sophos partner or reseller to reinstate your subscription. Some features may require reactivation after the license is applied.

Can I add Email Protection or Web Server Protection? These are not included in the Xstream bundle but are available as separate add-on subscriptions alongside your renewal.

How long does activation take? Typically within 24 hours of purchase. Depending on your region, your license will either auto-activate or provide a key to enter manually in Sophos Central.

Is a multi-year renewal worth it? For most organizations, yes. A 2- or 3-year term locks in your coverage, eliminates annual renewal risk, and often provides better value per year than rolling 12-month renewals.

License Renewal start:

If purchased before the existing license expiration date, the Xstream Protection license will renew on the anniversary date.
