What is the difference between P1 and P2?
P1 adds Conditional Access, granular MFA, self-service password reset with writeback, and Application Proxy. P2 adds Identity Protection with risk-based Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management, and access reviews. P1 is included in Microsoft 365 E3; P2 is included in E5.
Is Entra ID the same as Azure Active Directory?
Yes. Microsoft renamed Azure Active Directory to Microsoft Entra ID. It is the same product, now part of the wider Microsoft Entra family.
Does it work with my on-premises Active Directory?
Yes. Entra ID supports hybrid identity, syncing with your existing on-premises Active Directory, and can extend secure access to on-premises apps through Application Proxy.
How is it licensed?
