Run it from Sophos Fusion with your Sophos Firewall and AP6 access points. Active Threat Response takes threat feeds from Sophos MDR, Sophos XDR or third-party tools and isolates a compromised device across your switches and access points.
What is included
- The Sophos CS101-8 switch with a limited lifetime warranty (lifetime ends at the Sophos End-of-Life date for the model).
- Local management included: web interface, CLI and SNMP, with no subscription.
- Sophos Fusion management, virtual stacking, firmware updates, advance replacement and 24/7 support need a Switch Support and Services subscription, sold separately (see the table below).
- Network features: VLANs including voice and guest VLANs, 802.1X and MAC authentication bypass, LACP link aggregation, RSTP/MSTP, IGMP snooping, DHCP snooping, static routing, QoS and port mirroring.
- Transceivers for the SFP or SFP+ ports are ordered separately.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a support subscription?
Only for Sophos Fusion management (including virtual stacking and Active Threat Response), firmware updates, advance replacement and 24/7 Sophos support. The web interface, CLI and SNMP are included with the switch. Ask us for Support and Services pricing for the CS101-8.
What warranty does it have?
A Sophos limited lifetime warranty. Under the Sophos hardware replacement policy, the lifetime ends at the End-of-Life date for the model, and advance replacement needs an active support subscription.
Does it need a Sophos Firewall?
No. It works as a standalone managed switch, and Sophos says Active Threat Response on the switch does not need a Sophos Firewall. With a Sophos Firewall you get more automatic response actions.
Are transceivers included?
Plan them separately for the SFP or SFP+ ports you use. Tell us the cable run and we will quote the right optic or copper module.
