1Password Teams Starter Pack, billed monthly
A password manager for a small team, sold as one monthly pack that includes 10 members. Shared vaults for credentials the team needs, a private vault for each person, and Watchtower monitoring across all of it. Add up to 10 more seats as you grow, to a maximum of 20.
What Teams leaves out is single sign-on and SCIM provisioning. At this size you do not need them. You add someone a few times a year and it takes five minutes. If you grow past about 30, or you approach the 20 user ceiling, that is the point to move to Business, and we will tell you when rather than waiting for you to ask.

The honest way to choose
Under about 20 people, you do not need SSO or SCIM. You onboard someone a few times a year and it takes five minutes. Teams covers you, and paying per user for features you will not configure is money spent for nothing.
Past 30 or so, SCIM is the reason to move to Business. Not convenience. Offboarding. Removing someone from your identity provider revokes their password manager access automatically. Done by hand that step gets missed, and a former employee keeping access to the vault that holds every other credential is the worst version of this going wrong.
Single sign-on is the smaller of the two. It saves a password and puts your existing MFA and conditional access rules in front of 1Password. Useful if you run Microsoft Entra ID or Okta properly. Not a reason on its own to change plan.
There is also a hard ceiling worth knowing: Teams stops at 20 users. If you expect to pass that, start on Business rather than migrating later.

How many users does the Teams Starter Pack cover?
Ten members are included in the monthly pack. You can add up to ten more seats at per-seat pricing, for a maximum of twenty users. Past twenty you need the Business plan.
What is the difference between 1Password Teams and Business?
Business adds single sign-on, SCIM provisioning, event streaming to SIEM tools, custom groups and custom business reports, and has no user limit. Teams has shared vaults, Watchtower, the apps and developer tools, and caps at twenty users.
Do I need SSO or SCIM?
Below about 20 people, no. You onboard someone a few times a year and it takes five minutes by hand. SCIM matters once offboarding starts getting missed, usually past 30 people, and that is when Business becomes worth the change.
What is the Secret Key?
A 128-bit key generated on your device and stored there, used alongside your account password to decrypt your data. Both are required, so a stolen account password alone does not open a vault.
Where is our data stored?
1Password offers data residency in the United States, Canada or the European Union. Choose the region when the account is created, because moving it later is harder.
What happens when someone leaves?
An administrator suspends their account and recovers any items held in their private vault. On a team this size that is a two minute job. Automating it is what SCIM on the Business plan does.
Does the Teams plan include developer tools?
Yes. SSH key signing, Git commit signing, the CLI and SDKs are included on both Teams and Business.
