An SFP transceiver for a Sophos XGS firewall or CS-series switch. SFP ports ship empty, so a transceiver is required for every fibre or copper SFP link you intend to use. Buy one per end of each link.
Commonly missed: an appliance listing its SFP port count does not include the transceivers. If you are connecting two fibre ports together, you need two.

Do I need a transceiver for every SFP port?
You need one for every port you intend to use, and one at each end of the link. Unused SFP ports do not need transceivers.
Will a third-party transceiver work?
Sophos supports its own transceivers. Third-party optics may be rejected or may work without support. If uptime matters, use the supported part.
Does this need any licensing?
No. It is hardware and works with your existing subscription. Nothing to activate.
